whoo it's seriously been ages since i've even blogged properly. oh well, shall start frm day 2 of O2 all the way to today, den i'll be gone for another 2 days for stayovers and stuff. haha

Thursday, 8 March

Day 2 of O2! was Ct based so it wasn't that bad. at first LYNX had like 4 almost-full classes and that was already considered ALOT of people. haha. but as the day went by, the number slowly(fine, more like suddenly) reduced to only close to 60 people? when the other houses had around 100-200, except draco too. HAHA. oh well, anw tt day was quite a bad day too. borderline appeal cases was mainly the culprit. it's really really agonizing to know that people wif 9 points who have been in vj for the first term are unable to appeal in. oh well, wonder how the appeal system even works.

Anw, back to the day itself. there were cheer sessions and mass dance sessions at the start of the day. was kinda hyped up at first to see so many ppl around cheering too. but after the lunch break, my mood dropped to rock bottom. the games were kinda fun, especially Vidditch or something. at least dur the vidditch period we got back our enthusiasm. hahaha. and i think we got 2nd for vidditch! WHOO. den came the mass dances again.

basically that's abt all for O2, kinda expected alrd anw. HAHA, ooops. had to rush for training after that, while the rest of the cls went to have dinner. im really proud of S63! think we had the most number of people in LYNX left that day. hahaha

Friday 9 March (Day 1 of OLC '07)

grawr, friday was still a really bad day. and also the day when lessons resumed. followed thursday's timetable tho, which meant there was PE. argh, mainly today's lessons were quite slack, esp PE, whr we just had to sit in the hall and listen to some lecture for arnd an hour. nth much happened dur lessons i guess, jus stoned whenever given the chnce. haha.

think lessons ended at 2. chilled for awhle den had to buy food for Whirlwind alrd. oh btw, found out that we lost our flag at arnd 3 plus. surprisingly, i didn feel really that anxious. gah, think i really wasn looking forward to OLC. mental block. haha.

haha ok so from here onwards everythingw ill be on OLC (minus all the bitching parts, whoops)

yeah the 4 of us- me jolene arkar(new member to whirlwind) GT went to PP Giant to look for stuff to bring there. i bought my takeaway mac meal and i didn realise that would be my last LUXURY food for a long time. HAHA. hmm anw we bought quite a lot of stuff, loaves of bread, tuna, campbell soup, orea biscuits and mre. luckily we bought those. coz we seriously had a food shortage dur the camp if not for tis trip. didn rmb to buy our identity tho. damn.

hmm anw aft chionging the flag and everything, had to fall in at parade sq at 5. missed my 400m finals! suay la, jason ran but it didn turn out well and he still got sick too. not cool. haha. hmm yup den we got punished for losing our flag. had to run all the way to the tennis courts there and shout out 50 times "Sorry flag, we will not abandon you again." the other groups joined us afterwards but by that time we had alrd fin, so we just shouted 5 more and ran back. den had jump tests and all till they gave us our clue. had to search the sch compound for our GIs. our task was to take bus 30 to west coast park. unfortunately, i was the only one familiar wif bus 30, BUT i didn noe whr was the nearest bus 30 busstop to from vj. so i stupidly lead whirlwind to the DHS busstop. IM SORRY! hahaha. the rest of the grps merely walked like 2km thru the siglap park connector whereas we trekked abt 6km thru ecp to the dhs busstop. damn idiotic man. my bad, my bad. HAHA.

ended up at wcp arnd 9. had to search for a location in wcp for our nxt task. however we didn choose to follow what the uncle said on the bus and followed Typhoon blindly. and they led us into a deadend of an industrial park -.- anw we ended up in wcp for our obstacle course in the end. forgot wad we got alrd. had tis test aftwards. HAHA i screwed it totally. i know nth abt theory! LOL. den dere was..... TENT PITCHING. the crux of what makes OLC OLC man seriously. without TENT PITCHING, u'll never have something as close to OLC. HAHA. come to think of it, i kinda miss tent pitching actually. jsut didn like the losing stuff part only. so fo that night we had to redo quite a number of times, till abt 12 when they let us off. HAHA. i knocked out the moment i went inside the 4 men tent.

SATURDAY ( DAY 2 of OLC '07)

had to wake up at 4.30 to prepare for sentry duty. was almost late. hmm anw sentry duty was kinda sian for us. since all the wrong things happened to us, our spirits were kinda demoralised. had some reflection wif the GIs, but we didn open up much. basically that was it.

den there was TENT PITCHING AND UNPITCHING again. HAHA. wasn so bad tis time. had to go for our mrng jog. wah quite scary, a few ppl got quite sick becoz of the run. but luckily everyone could cont. den they gave us our nxt clue sheet.

first destination : bukit timah hill
this one was the killer one. we wanted to save up our 9 transport limit and as a result, we asked like at least 10+ people for directions and had to trek arnd 6km to our busstop. imbaa. anw we had enuf time to sstop and rest at BTH. blizzard(current first grp) was still on the way down. and typhoon came bef us so we had to wait for them too. the hike up was surprisingly steep, but happy that our grp managed to climb up and back down wifout much difficulty. whoo. had to do some task at the top, some sort of bowling game. whr we had to throw ping pong balls to knock down empty cans. wah tt one was quite bad. haha

2nd destination : botanic gardens.
didn had any difficulty getting dere at all. found our meeting point quite easily too. finished our task quite fast and we overtook typhoon and hurricane dur tis station, making us 2nd! YAY.

3rd destination : bras besar complex
omg tis one was uber tyco. ahha our task was to select one of the 3 stairways to search for a door wif a green bandana hanging outside the gate. we selected the right one and found our door without much difficulty. 21-03 ! HAHAHA

4th destination : plaza sing
our lunch point. we were given $14 to spend for lunch. bought one bottle of orange juice, 1.5L mineral water, donuts, pandan bread and bananas.

5th destination : Mt Faber
this one was a killer too. we took a train to Harbour front frm PS. den we didn know what bus to take up there, so we just walked all the way from harbour front to the top of Mt Faber -- Faber point. damn scary la, we met hurricane and Typhoon at the top, tho we had a 30min lead over them. but jia hao typhoon got a bad cramp on his leg so they had to stop for him so we overtook them. felt quite bad tho.

6th destination : Labrador Park
chionged back to harbour front, den boarded 408 to labrador park. had to do this memory game task. whoo we finished it quite well.

den we took 10 all the way to vjc. and got 2nd somemre. first was blizzard. Tornado and cyclone were alrd der but they didn fin the last destination so we still got 2nd. think hurricane came in late, so we had to run 4.5km. the pace wasn that fast so it was quite fun. haha.

aft the run was slack ti me, till the bus came. GT fell sick dur the run. quite scary la. den it was a LONG bus sride to KUANTAN. freaking cold la the bus. haha i had o nly my pe attire on. WTH. haha.

SUNDAY (DAY 3 of OLC '07)
headed off for BERKELAH FALLS at like 8 in the mrng. quite slpy still tho. and we had to lugged our heavy packs up the falls. i had freakingly frictionless shoes. haha. had ALOT of difficulty climbing up man. but nevertheless, all of us managed to climb up the waterfall successfully. we reached a clearing at like 11. had to split up into 2 grps to pitch our tents due to the lack of space.
aft lunch and all we started our hike up the top of the falls. freakingly scary. look down alrd feel like dying. it was crazily high la. and i really nid to chnge my shoes. HAHA. anw, aft alot of near falls, all of us still managed to reach the top of the falls. a few ppl got quite bad cuts tho.

we had one hour of free time at the top of the falls. had a rly chilly swim in the water. wasn exactly as clean as i tot tho. a lot of fungus. but the swim was really good anw. den came the hike down. wasn as bad as the climb up alrd, mb coz i had mental preparations den i was gna fall anytime. HAHA.

reached base camp, den started on field cooking. ours was quite good surprisingly. another impromtu product of Whirlwind! HAHA. all the rojak mixed tgt.

yup, and since there was a lack of space for campfire, we just had quiet time tgt wif GIs. ahd this peer evaluation thing. den it was just an early night.

DAY 4 !!!!
had morning recreation instead of night recreation. HAHAHA. we had to put up our skit. it was super last min la, so no surprise we got last fr the skit. LOL. anw, aft the skit den it was a hike back down. had some situational practice on teh way back to the bus. damn shiok la, when we finally boarded the bus. was given permission to get drinks too. SONG AH. hahaha. long bus ride back to vjc. was a really really good bonsding session on the bus too. TYPHOON AND TORNADO ROCKS LA. ahhaha. but too bad whirlwind boulders. -.-" . sry.

yup so when we reached vj, dere was hornet drill again and all. darryl from blizzard got the award for best hornet drill. den was cleaning up of all the equipments. and the revelation of the results. omg la, the first page was really really imba for whirlwind, we eiter got 2nd or 1st for all the competitions. but the team spirit, identitiesr, food etc etc part was damn sucky. HAHA. but in the end we ended up 3rd! was quite a good result for us alrd.

oh well, that's abt it for OLC. surprisingly, i kinda like OLC aft that. HAHA. damn shiok la.

ahh okay shall add on to t his ome other time, gtg for my stayover now =D
